Notaro's essay grabbed my attention in the first sentence. The essay was right to the point from the start.
The characters that were depicted seemed real. They resembled my parents who would do anything for their familes.
The sentence variety was easy to read and easy to follow. It was also easy to relate to, which I really enjoyed.
The essay was intense, yet had a soft side. I think the conclusion added the last bit it needed to make a good story.
