My Opinion

I have been a lifeguard for the Topeka City pools for five years. Before this past summer I had applied to be in the management because my manager from the year before had told me they were leaving and she trained me so I could take her place. My email had changed and the supervisor forgot to use my newest email so I missed the interviews. I ended up not being placed in a management spot at any of the pools. Chad, the supervisor and I have known each other for a long time because my sister played on his softball team. So I called him up and had to argue with him as to why I didn't get placed in management like I was promised. I told him that my manager trained me, which he had asked her to do so, and that I had been working for him longer than the person he actually placed there. He told me that I didn't make the interviews, and I told him that I had tried contacting him several times to check up on when they were but never heard from him. It was a long process but I ended up getting a smaller management spot and things worked out.
