University Days
For me a class that I struggled in was my first Cultural Anthropology class. I know it's a somewhat easy class and I shouldn't have struggled in it, but the teacher I had was honestly awful! It was real hard for me to learn with her. The way she designed her tests were difficult too. No matter how much or how long I would study for them It just wasn't sinking in. I would take excellent notes and attend every class and again, it just wasn't sinking in. It wasn't til the summer when I took the class again with a different instructor that I thought that maybe it was just the way she taught it. Because the second time was much better.

Blog #2
I feel that keeping a notebook is a way of keeping in touch, but it’s more of a keeping in touch with our inner selves. Sometimes people might find it hard to express how they feel to others or even say exactly what’s on their mind. Keeping a notebook can be a way for people to easily write down their thoughts and it can be done in a way that no one will ever have to see it. Writing can sometimes have a sense of helping people cope; it helps them get all their anger and frustration out. I personally don’t keep my own journal or anything, but I hear nothing but good things about them. It’s kind of like another best friend in paper form. You don’t want to keep everything bottled up inside and when you need to get something out, you need to get it out. Writing it down is the perfect way to go about this. Keeping a journal can also help one relive past memories without having to think about them. I sometimes wish I was more into keeping my thought’s down, I’ve been more into expressing myself through pictures or dance. I know not a real good way to get things out, I just find peace in them.
Social Networks have formed and are another way to express yourself and feelings. It has taken the form of keeping a journal and making it more public for everyone instead of it just being private for you. Facebook, Twitter, and all that jazz are ways to get your feelings out, as well as let others learn more about you. It is an easy way to spread news and help people stay informed. Social media is definitely a way of life now days.

A Little About Me
My name is Maggie Isaacson and I was born and raised right here in Topeka KS, but I sometimes wish I could get away from this place for a bit. I graduated from Seaman High School in 2009. Currently I am in my Junior year at Washburn and I am majoring in Physical Therapy Assistant. I have had thoughts on minoring in Photography, but I just haven't found time to do that and let's be honest, I'll just stick to doing it for fun in my spare time.
Like I said I love to take pictures. I was a photographer for the yearbook/newspaper of my high school and if it's a nice day you can bet that I'm outside taking pictures of anything and everything. I would love to be a professional photographer, but I'm going to stick to PTA. Along with photography I absolutely love to dance, if you couldn't tell by my title. I have been dancing since before I can remember, my mom had a dream that her little girl would be a ballerina. Even though I never got that into Ballet I still fulfilled my mom's dream. I have been to countless competitions and have had numerous recitals. If you look in my closet you will find all my costumes from day one, yes I have kept them all. Dance is who I am and everything I can be. I am a member of the Washburn Dancing Blues, this will be my third year, and I have loved every painful minute of it! Dancing for nearly 16 or 17 years has done damage on me physically, but I'm not giving it up just yet.
I am a huge family person. They mean the world to me. I grew up with two siblings, a younger brother and a younger sister. My brother is closer to me in age and I can honestly say he has been my best friend for several years. Without my family I wouldn't be the person I am today.
That's about all I can think of at the moment. So I'm just going to leave it at that.
